Gracious Care is committed to providing our staff with the best training available to the industry. We believe that it's only through careful selection during the recruitment process, followed up by targetted training, that we can give our carers the tools they need to be able to deal with the wide-ranging and ever-changing needs of our customers. The government need to arrive at statistics to measure effective training in the industry.
We are pleased to be able to contribute to the collection of data to assist the government as they assess and monitor the social care workforce. Skills for Care is the umbrella body we and many other care providers report our progress to, regarding staff training.
We do like to blow our own trumpet. Of course we do! But in this context, by reporting the excellent training standards Gracious Care give to our staff, we raise the expected standards of training across the whole of our sector.
If you're a customer of ours, you already know that our standards are high and this is as a direct result of our insistance that our staff take full advantage of the training programmes offered.
By the way, I bet you're wondering what ASC-WDS stands for. It's Adult Social Care - Workforce Data Set. So that's cleared that up!
