Gracious Care have had the great privilege of providing the care for countless wonderful people and we hope to offer this service to many more, for years to come. We settle into a comfortable routine with most of the folk we care for. And very sadly, as their lives draw to a close, we have to face the inevitable progress of our care towards End-of-Life Care.
This is a hard topic to discuss and we want to delay this phase for as long as possible but as our lives draw to a close, Gracious Care have specialist and experienced staff who can supplement our regular carers and provide sensitive support to our customer, to their family or friendship group and to our own staff.
During this difficult time, many of our customers simply want a gentle hand, a quiet voice and an attentive peacefulness. We’re all different and there isn't a rulebook giving a step-by-step guide, but we will have kept our customer comfortable and assuming they don’t need medical intervention we’ll continue to do so until the end. By this time, we know our customer very well and they know us. Our staff find end-of-life care hard, but have a strong feeling of privilege knowing the role they've played. Many will ask for details of the funeral when the time comes. We value our customers and we’ll be at your side when you need us.
